About Kelly Harmon

Kelly Harmon, MAEd, is an international educational consultant with more than 30 years of experience working in early childhood to university level classrooms. Her passion for learning has led her from teaching to leadership roles. In 1998, she began working with districts and campuses in South Texas, providing grant management, literacy workshops, and instructional coaching. In 2002, she joined the Bureau of Education and Research (BER) to present seminars for literacy, math, Title 1, RTI, and technology applications across the United States and Canada. From 2012-2018, Learning Sciences International Marzano Center invited her to join their team as a staff developer for the Marzano Evaluation Model and the Essentials of Rigor. She is co-author with Dr. Robert J. Marzano of Practicing Skills, Strategies, & Processes: Classroom Techniques to Help Students Develop Proficiency.

She has consulted with over 50 school districts and non-profits across the United States and continues to work with schools in Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Mrs. Harmon earned her B.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a M.A. in Education at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
